Kotiseutu – The Spirit of Roots was a solo exhibition held at SPIRAL’s MINA-TO gallery in Tokyo, Japan on September 2018. Kotiseutu is an installation of 28 ceramic wall rugs which tells the story of a little village called Pekankylä in the Kainuu region in the Northern Finland. It’s also an ode to the uniqueness of Finnish nature and one’s roots.
